Kitemill employs a small team of skilled and experienced experts, and the prototype testing is carried out in Lista, Norway. We are presently involved in a development program with Kongsberg Innovation and Transition Robotics but we are also focusing on activities around our test center in Lista.
To meet its challenges and development targets, Kitemill is now recruiting an engineer who can take responsible for the take-off and landing dicipline. The person will communicate directly to the Technical Manager.
The engineer will have the internal responsibility to further design the vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) solution from the current prototype dependent on the requirements for the kite turbine. This will lead to rapid prototyping and testing of the solution. During testing periods, it is expected that the person can lead ground and airborne tests.
Your background will ideally encompass a technical degree in aerodynamics / control engineering with practical competence within drones and multicopter technology.
As a result we expect the engineer to have knowhow in flight science, autonomous flight controls and dynamic systems. Ideally the candidate has hands-on experience from construction of aircraft, testing and integration.
