Open position as operator

Kitemill AS is a Norwegian start-up company active within the Airborne Wind Energy sector. We focus on the development, production and sale of airborne wind turbines. Kitemill employs a team of skilled and experienced experts based in Norway, and the prototype testing is carried out at Lista, Norway. We are presently involved in a development program with several external suppliers focusing on activities around our test center at Lista. Kitemill has an ambition to reach a more operational phase with its demonstrator during 2020.

To meet its challenges and development targets, Kitemill is now recruiting an operational team. These persons will communicate directly to the Operational Manager.
The operator will be responsible for the equipment, the flight preparation, the result collection and the operation of kite turbines. The person will record flight logs and write daily reports. Operation will involve troubleshooting of ground-based and airborne components. Further the existing documentation such as pre-flight and post-flight checklists will be updated regularly, and procedures will be established. In the first year, one will be involved in practical work related to our prototype such as the assembly of the kites, production of composite subcomponents and bench testing.

Your background will ideally encompass experience from electronics, composites manufacturing and operation of drones.

English communication skills are mandatory. The persons need to be independent, proactive and have a problem-solving attitude. A passion for renewable energy is a must!
